A submissions portal that took manual data entry out of workers’ comp coverage requests

An insurance agency was spending hours every week re-entering submission data across multiple systems. We designed and built a portal that automates the workflow and gives agents real-time visibility into every submission.

The challenge

Coverage determination requests moved through email, spreadsheets, and several disconnected systems. Agents re-keyed the same employer, jobsite, and payroll details at every step, and no one had a single view of where a submission stood.

What we did

  • Mapped the full coverage-request process with agents and staff before designing anything
  • Designed a guided ten-step submission flow with automatic draft saving and built-in payroll forecasting
  • Built one system of record for agencies, agents, clients, and submissions, with global search across all of it
  • Replaced several overlapping software subscriptions with a single purpose-built platform
